Olive Garden has this voucher that people can get and it's a "Never Ending Pasta Pass" for seven weeks. Most people would take advantage of it for themselves but there's this one man named Matt Tribe and he took advantage of it to feed the homeless.
The pass is a limited edition grant and is worth $100. Tribe is said to be a Utah resident. He did not immediately realize that it could help others as he enjoyed pastas himself so he came up with "Random Acts of Pasta."
Tribe said, "I realize it might be stupid to think, 'I just gave them pasta, how does that make their day better?' But somebody did something nice for them." Tribe's goal is said to give out 100 meals and by the end of the seven weeks the pass is still in effect, he will be giving out food to 125 people.
His friend Ben Taylor explains when he received a meal from Tribe he thought of what he has done to receive such. However, Tribe then explained to him what he was doing and Taylor shares, "He explained to me what he was doing, he was just giving out random acts of pasta to neighbors, friends, and even homeless people, and I thought, that's kind of a cool story."
Tribe then documented his journey with the help of Taylor then uploaded it on YouTube. To see the clip, click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MI6fDPRz_f4. The video shows Tribe giving out the meals to homeless people and the smile on their faces just says how thankful they are for a stranger giving them something to eat.
Tribe said, "It was super fulfilling. Because the entire time I was doing this for a month, just about every night, the only thing I was thinking about was who could I take Olive Garden to, who could I do Random Acts of Pasta to, who could I do something nice for."
He added, "You forget about all your worries, you forget about all your troubles. Everything's better."
