Kate Middleton and Prince William Update: Will Break Royal Christmas Traditions

Prince William and pregnant Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton are reportedly planning their Christmas Day celebration and the Royal couple is to break the traditions this season. Instead of spending time with their family, the duo has planned to celebrate the festivities in private.

The reason for such unconventional celebration is due to the morning sickness of Kate. The new was first reported by Grazia Magazine. The report says, "breaking with tradition and will only spend part of the day with Queen at her Sandringham home." Also, the report claims the couple are to head to their new Anmer Hall residence located in Norfolk, England.

A royal source allegedly confirmed the statement of the publication adding that Prince William already talked to Queen Elizabeth about their plans. The Queen reportedly already agreed to the requests of the royal family.

However, the insider adds that the couple and their one-year-old son will still join ghte family for the traditional celebrations as they will return to the palace for the rituals during the Boxing Day as well as for the annual shoot.

The Christmas celebration of the couple is normally formal and duty-filled as they follow strict schedules and instructions. However, when Prince William celebrated with the Middletons last year, he realized that the festive period was much more enjoyable if it was not that formal.

As for their plans this year, Prince William is said to be planning to play board games such as Pictionary and charades. Dancing and music is also said to be part of the holiday celebrations. His brother, Prince Harry, also suggested Prince William should include playing Nintendo to make it more fun.

As for Queen Elizabeth, she will be visiting the royal couple at their Anmer Hall residence, the manor she has given Kate and Prince William as their wedding gift when they got married back in 2011.
