Disney' top-grossing animated film, "Frozen," is rumored to have a sequel in the works. IGN reported that Idina Menzel of the original "Let It Go," mentioned in an interview that indeed Frozen 2 is in the air. "Frozen" star Menzel also manifested her interest to appear in the sequel.
However, Menzel is a bit cautious on the question of her role in Frozen 2 and did not elaborate if she will be involved in the sequel or not. She safely adds that, "...We'll see. I'm just going along for the ride."
Speculations started sometime in February when Bob Iger of Disney mentioned about the movie's 'franchise potential.' Chairman Alan Horn of Disney also said that they are considering a stage adaptation of Frozen prior to the release of second film.
Georgina Haig, who portrayed Elsa's role in "Once Upon a Time," also affirmed that Disney is on the move about Frozen 2.
Disney's Frozen still holds everybody's interest, and is still expected to last. Frozen-inspired products have established a relatively large market share, considering the consistently increasing trend in its sales.
In fact, Daily Mail revealed that a family in Utah gained not only cash amounting $10,000 but popularity as well with their 'song-cover videos' including "In Summer" and "Love Is An Open Door." "Do You Want To Build a snowman?" is the most viral, gaining approximately 90 million You Tube views.
Given the trend, fans are still engrossed with the Frozen and still not getting enough of it while another one is in the offing. People revealed that Frozen currently holds the fifth rank as top-grossing movie and the biggest animated film having garnered $1.2 billion in box-office. It even toppled the "Barbie" products on the customers' choice of gifts for Christmas.
For the meantime, "Frozen Fever" is likely to be available on Anna's birthday which is expected to be released by spring 2015.
