‘Alice In Wonderland’ Book: Original Manuscript Traveling To USA For 150th Anniversary

'Alice In Wonderland' Book - The original manuscript handwritten by Lewis Carroll will travel from the British Library to New York's Morgan Library and Museum and The Rosenbach Museum of the Free Library of Philadelphia.

In 2015, "Alice in Wonderland" will turn 150 years since its first publication back in 1865. The original title, actually, wasn't "Alice in Wonderland" but "Alice's Adventures Under Ground."

As a matter of fact, that same title is taken by Les Enfants Terribles Theatre Company to make the adaptation of the book into the stage; more precisely, it'll be an immersive production staged in the Vaults underneath Waterloo station in London, The Stage noted.

Returning to the original manuscript of "Alice in Wonderland," The British Library announced on Thursday that it would loan the book to New York's Morgan Library and the Rosenbach Museum of the Free Library of Philadelphia next year.

The original manuscript was presented by Carroll to Alice Lidell, who inspired the book. Afterwards, in 1928, an American dealer bought the manuscript and in 1948, it returned to Britain once again, Fox News reported.

Throughout next year, the original manuscript, together with several sorts of adaptations will be traveling and showing all over. Even a movie is coming shortly after the anniversary.

The release for "Alice in Wonderland: Through The Looking Glass" is speculated for 2016. Right at the moment, the movie is being filmed and it's a sequel to 2010's "Alice in Wonderland."

The 2010 movie was directed by Tim Burton and this new release will be directed by James Bobin, who directed "The Muppets."

Still, the same actors will remain, such as Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Mia Wasikowska as Alice, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen.

It looks like 2015 will bring a lot of surprises with the "Alice in Wonderland" anniversary and the original manuscript is definitely one of the biggest and highlighted facts.
