"Westworld" will again bring to life Michael Crichton's works on HBO on 2015. No definite date of release or launching yet, but the cast is almost final with Sir Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Ed Harris, Thandie Newton and James Marsden, Digital Trends reported.

Thriller enthusiasts have something to look forward to as 2015 is fast approaching. HBO confirmed the showing of the TV series based on a 1973 novel, "Westworld," in its twitter account with J.J. Abrams also signing the contract to direct the series.

Fans will expect the return of 'creepy androids' which eventually wields the power of an evil virus as it becomes wayward due to a technical malfunction. Just like in the original story, the mystery is expected to take its course in a futuristic adult-themed park of the west.

It is a gainful endeavor for Hollywood stars to be casted in a TV series, noted ones are James Spader of "The Balcklist", Kevin Bacon of "The Following" and Kevin Spacey of the "House of Cards."  Usually the storyline contains a kill-off of lead characters before the close of the season.  However, in the case of "Westworld," the robot-like personality of the cast will allow a return of the character even after they get killed in the story. There is still the possibility that actors may assume another role as the series continues.

Digital Trends revealed that the original "Westworld" film in 1973 was the first to have a digital image processor to pixilate the image which is almost similar to that of android's.

Hence, for 2015, "Westworld" is expected to capture viewers as the fans of thriller and sci-fi TV series continue to increase. HBO had taken the right move to air a rerun of the film in a TV series as the current trend demands.
