‘Cake Boss’ Arrested On DWI: ‘You Can’t Arrest Me! I’m The Cake Boss!’

'Cake Boss' Arrested DWI - "Cake Boss" reality star, Buddy Valastro, was arrested on Thursday for driving while intoxicated charges.

The event took place at around 1 a.m. near Penn Station, a person from the New York City police department confirmed to E! News.

Apparently, the "Cake Boss" was seen driving erratically and swerving between lanes, before being stopped. Once the police officers made him pull over, they saw that he had bloodshot and watery eyes.

The officers also smelled alcohol on his breath before asking him to step out of the vehicle. He did so in an unsteady manner and he was given a sobriety test. He failed it and was taken to central booking in Manhattan for arraignment.

Valastro was driving a yellow 2014 Corvette and during his arrest, the well-known baker shared a few words.

"I had a couple of drinks. You can't arrest me! I'm the Cake Boss. I'm a good guy. Can you just put me in a cab? I don't have to be arrested, I'm not a bad guy."

The "Cake Boss" hasn't entered a plea yet, but was offered a deal that includes a 90-day suspension of his driver's license and a $300 fine, ABC News shared.

A Hoboken resident mentioned the fact that Valastro shouldn't have said the whole "I'm the Cake Boss" line, as nobody is above the law, no matter what name or charge you carry, CBS noted.

After the entire situation, the "Cake Boss" released a statement where he said that he wanted to share and explain the entire situation at a later date. He also thanked the support and he would appreciate it if things are handled privately among his family.

"Cake Boss" premiered on 2009 on The Learning Channel and it gained great success. Now, Valastro is also working in "Kitchen Boss" and "The Next Great Baker," which are also broadcasted on TLC.
