The USDA has issued a recall for one of my favorite frozen meals from Amy's Kitchen, and I'm digging deep into my freezer to double-check my stock. The recall is due to Listeria concerns and affects green enchilada products sold in 21 states.  If you're an Amy's Kitchen devotee, here's everything you need to know:

• Products Recalled: Amy's Kitchen Enchiladas Verdes Whole Meal (10 oz container) - part of a 12-pack with item number 000085.
• Lot Numbers and Best Before Dates:
  • Lot number 60D2522 and best before 04/2024
  • Lot number 60H2222 and best before 08/2024
  • Lot number 60J2622 and best before 10/2024
• States Affected: California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin

What to Do If You've Purchased Recalled Enchiladas

• Do not eat the recalled enchiladas if you have them.
• Double bag the enchiladas and throw them away in a secure trash can with a tight-fitting lid.
• Return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

What Are the Symptoms of Listeriosis?

Listeria infection, also known as listeriosis, can cause serious illness, especially for young children, pregnant women, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems. Symptoms can take up to 70 days to appear after consuming contaminated food. Be aware of these potential symptoms and seek medical attention immediately if you experience them:

• Fever
• Muscle aches
• Headache
• Stiff neck
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
