According to AXIOS, NBA star CJ McCollum of the New Orleans Pelicans (an admitted wine nerd) has brought his passion project, McCollum Heritage Wines, to the Big Easy. What started as a pandemic pastime has become a full-blown business for this newly minted vintner and his wife/partner. He has produced signature Chardonnays and Pinots that are now available at the Smoothie King Center arena where the Pelicans play. He also has local distribution in NOLA through the Wine Seller. He hasn't hit the mass retail market, but we are pretty sure plans are in the works.
