Highest-paid Actor in the World Robert Downey Jr. Confirms Iron Man 4

He has no plan to do the fourth Iron Man. But the 49-year old American actor, filmmaker and Robert Downey Jr. recently appeared at the Ellen DeGeneres' show claiming that he's already in negotiations to do the next Iron Man movie.

"I know there's going to be a bunch more Marvel movies, and they have big ideas of how to do it best, and we're in the middle of negotiations," replied by the Oscar nominee.  Earlier reports speculated that there were chances Downey Jr. will no longer take his role as Iron Man which made him a Hollywood superstar.  Iron Man movie is a breakthrough in his career because it made him the highest-paid actor in the world.

Although the last 'Iron Man' recorded over $1.2 billion at the global box office, he claimed earlier that he will no longer accept the film's fourth installment.   'Iron Man 3' almost made it as one of the top 5 highest-grossing films in history before the movie 'Frozen' took the lead.

In an interview last week at Deadline, the versatile actor seemed hesitant to reprise his role as 'Tony Stark/ Iron Man.' He was kidding when interviewed and claimed that he will definitely do Iron Man 4 only if his friend, Mel Gibson will be the director.

The actor is highly recognized for his remarkable roles "The Godfather 1 and 2" and "Apocalypse Now." He slammed an Oscar award for "Tender Mercies" (1983) and Golden Globe for "Sherlock Holmes" (2009) to name a few.  Robert Downey Jr. is now regarded as Hollywood's top-earning actor after "Iron Man" and the "Avengers."

Robert Downey Jr. will wear his Iron Man costume for the fifth time in next year's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" which is written and directed by Joss Whedon.
