For all the country flavor lovers, the most important thing other than a country singer, might be, a bottle of country made Arkansas vodka, isn't it?
Last Tuesday, Blake Shelton announced the launch of his very own vodka brand, Smithworks. The announcement comes just after the 88th Academy Awards.
"I grew up in Ada, Oklahoma and was raised on the values of hard work, humility and an appreciation for the simple things that make up a good life," he said in a statement, according to People Magazine. "As part of the Smithworks family, I've been involved in the development of the brand, and I'm excited for everyone to finally taste what we've been crafting. At its core, Smithworks celebrates that moments in life are better spent with good people and great drinks."
The vodka, which incidentally, is loved by Shelton with coupled with his ginger ale, is made from corn from Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri, and is finished and bottled in Fort Smith of Arkansas.
Notably, Shelton is not the first musician to try out his luck in the alcohol business. With the launch of this brand, he will join some burgeoning liquor moguls and famed musicians like Drake (for his whiskey brand), 50 Cents (for his vodka brand), and Jay Z (for his famous Armand de Brignac Champagne.
It has been a big week for the singer, who hit the red carpet with girlfriend Gwen Stefani for the first time as a couple at the Vanity Fair post-Oscars party.
As of now, the new Vodka from Shelton, i.e., Smithworks will be rolling out on limited markets across the US, which will also include Arkansas, Missouri, Colorado, Kansas and Oklahoma.
It seems that Shelton might need to work a bit hard to promote his new brand, but considering his fame as a singer, it will be easy for him.
