Do you love to travel as much as you want to eat? If you nod your head yes, then this one's good news for you.
Airplane travel is about to become less stressful and more fun to foodies flying. American Airlines announced that they passengers at their economy cabin will be provided with more complimentary food and entertainment.
In a press release, the airline stated that customers will be able to chose between Biscoff cookies and pretzels as their plane food freebie.
"We want customers to choose American every time they fly," said Fernand Fernandez, American's vice president - Global Marketing. "We are giving our customer more choices to enhance their personal flying experience by offering new service and new entertainment options in all cabins."
When it comes to in-flight entertainment, American Airlines proudly shared that their planes are equipped with in-seat entertainment that offers up to 40 movies, 60 TV shows and 300 music albums, which passengers could choose from.
"What has changed is that the airlines have been able to fix our core business and be able to reinvest in our customers," Fernandez told The Associated Press.
Meanwhile, United Airlines also declared that they will be giving free stroopwafels biscuits to passengers at the economy cabin for flights in North America and the Caribbean. Although there is some bad news too, the airline company said that flights that currently provide complimentary snacks will not upgrade snacks to the coveted stroopwafel, hence, their improvement will only apply to recently booked flights and future bookings.
With the growth of the tourism industry and global airline market, more and more airline companies are beginning to improve their customer services and provide a more delightful experience.
JetBlue also takes pride in announcing that will will be adding more technologically equipped plane seats, adding power outlets and USB ports on their recliners and a blue LED light to select cabins.
"Our customers don't want to switch off when they take off, so we are continuing to build on our investment in Fly-Fi," Jamie Perry, vice president brand and product development said.
