If you're a fan of all things Telltale and all things 'The Walking Dead', then you know these two are about to come out with possibly the best thing ever - a new 'The Walking Dead: Michonne' mini-series. Telltale has announced that eager fans will not see 'TWD' favourite Michonne's mini-series this 2015 as originally announced but instead will come out in February 2016. Michonne's story is going to be worth waiting for if the first look Telltale gave of the game during the 2015 Game Awards is anything to go by.
Telltale says: "A stand-alone three episode event, 'The Walking Dead: Michonne' further bridges together the Telltale game series with the canon of Robert Kirkman's comic through one of its most complex characters."
So, no, fans won't be slaking any thirst with this new release while the show is on winter hiatus. And although most of us fell in love with the live action aesthetics of Michonne's badass sword tricks because of Danai Gurira - who plays the heroine onscreen - TellTale confirms that Samira Wiley of 'Orange is the New Black' will be featured in the game.
"The story explores Michonne, portrayed by award-winning actress Samira Wiley (Orange is the New Black), on an untold journey during the time between issues #126 and #139. Haunted by her past, players will discover what took her away from Rick, Ezekiel, and the rest of her trusted group... and what brought her back.
As the third Telltale offering on 'The Walking Dead., this standalone game will lead players into another great experience as they walk into the revelations about Michonne's haunted past. Judging by the previous series' success this will be less likely to be critically mauled like Activision's 'The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct', which aggregate site Metacritic gave a rating of 38/100.
The new schedule comes in the wake of Telltale's final episode of the 'Game of Thrones' only becoming accessible on tablets and phones last month. Players will be able to enjoy this on Mac, PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and among iOS devices as well as Android.
