Gwyneth Paltrow, much like her children Apple and Moses Martin, grew up surrounded with Hollywood glamour, as her mother Blythe Danner is a well-respected film actress and her dad Bruce was a producer and director - and though she will let her children decide on what to do with their own lives, the Oscar winner does have one request for Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter: that she'll wear her dress!
Back in 1999, Paltrow, already a major star after roles in films like "Se7en" with Brad Pitt and "A Perfect Murder" with Michael Douglas, became a critics' favorite as well for her role in the widely acclaimed period dramedy "Shakespeare in Love," for which she won the Oscar, wearing an iconic and gorgeous pink Ralph Lauren dress for the ceremony - and she wants Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter to wear it, too!
The Oscar-winning actress and lifestyle guru recently caught up with People Style while she opened her first-ever Goop Market pop-up in New York, where she spoke a little about how she's been separating some of her best looks for Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter to wear in the future.
In fact, even before Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter was born, Chris Martin's ex was saving dresses for her future child, saying she still has "every Oscar dress," possibly including the infamous black see-thru one from 2002 - but, more importantly, the adorable gown she wore when her name was called during the Academy Awards!
"Maybe she'll wear it to prom and do a Pretty in Pink thing and resew it and cut it up..." said the star about what she hoped Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter would do with the iconic dress, CeleBuzz reports, though she quickly changed her tune. "I don't know if I'd let her chop that one up!"
E! Online reports that the fate of red carpet dresses is usually quite different, as stars will usually return them to designers or hand them to showrooms - but other superstars don't have Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter to think about!
