'Anchorman 3' Is About To Happen- Will Ferrell Is Back For The Role

Will Ferrell is about to come back as America's favorite funny newscaster in the movie 'Anchorman 3'. It was a huge success when Paramount first released it in 2004 according to an article published by The Inquisitr. A part 2 came as well in 2013 entitled 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' and now another sequel is rumored to be coming out and it is not something everyone would expect knowing that the last time didn't gain much positive feedback.

The second part of the franchise almost didn't happen because the studio didn't have faith in the sequel even when the cast offered to have their salaries deducted just to make the movie happen. Slash Film reported that the film's director, Adam McKay, was sad when the studio didn't agree on the second installment.

But despite the studio adamance about their plans of no longer pursuing the movie, the second installment was still able to happen. It didn't earn well in the box office like they expected, but the profit was enough to triple the price of their original budget. Since it grossed the amount of $173.6 million, rumors are now starting to circulate about its third sequel. The Inquisitr released a report that McKay said about rethinking on creating another sequel just this week.

It is a bit odd when he told Empire Online last year that they are not planning on creating another sequel after that last one they had in 2013.

In fact, his words were,  "It's done. I think that's it. It was great to do it and it was so fun to work with those guys again, but I think that's it for Ron Burgundy. No, that's the last sequel we're gonna do. There's nothing more fun to me than new characters and a new world. And now we're releasing this alt version, we're totally satisfied. No Anchorman 3."But it would appear that in the past few weeks, McKay is completely making a change of decision from what he said before because now he is saying it'd be fun to work on it again.
