Microsoft has just announced a contest in order to enhance their HoloLens technology.
The American multinational launched a friendly contest in a website called Share Your Idea. In the said site, any online users can introduce great apps and ideas for the HoloLens device.
Many participants have already joined the competition. Some ideas submitted in the contest ranges from a virtual Julia Childs to Pokemon games and even augmented reality Yu-Gi-Oh.
The new Microsoft site is asking different users to contribute their ideas before January 11, 2016. The team is not actually obligating the participants to develop an app, but instead, the tech wants the contestants to contribute some ideas on how to improve HoloLens.
In the official blog site of Microsoft, the team wrote the main objective of the said competition.
"We want to share everything we've learned about developing great holographic apps. To that end, we're offering to jump start one of your app ideas. As you share your ideas with the HoloLens community, we'll help you understand what it takes to build them," the Microsoft HoloLens team wrote.
The team also said that they will be picking the top three of the most popular ideas. They will then allow the community to vote for the best idea. According to the HoloLens team, the winner will have the opportunity to witness the building of his idea as Microsoft will work to bring the brilliant concept into life.
The American company confirmed that source code will be delivered back to the community once done.
It was reported that Microsoft has partnered with several huge organizations like NASA and Autodesk in order to achieve the true proficiency of the HoloLens. Aside from that, the American company also has its own platform that gives developers the freedom to make holograms with the aid of Windows 10 apps.
