With today's shift in gender roles, we're seeing women in offices and actresses taking the lead in hit shows and movies. And this is exciting news for Paulus. During a press release, she was thrilled that the show is ".. breaking boundaries as the first Broadway musical with book, score, choreography and direction by a team of women." She further adds that this kind of recognition has long been overdue for Broadway. "I'm honored to be working alongside such passionate and inspiring women."

The cast of the Broadway limelight includes Tony Award winner Jessie Mueller, Christopher Fitzgerald, Eric Anderson, Drew Gehling, Kimiko Glenn (from Orange is the New Black) and Keala Settle (from Les Miserables).

The creative minds will involve Paulus as the directing lead while the musical score and lyrics is headed by Bareilles. The book is handled by Nelson.
