Bridget Jones 2015: Ed Sheeran CONFIRMED In Renee Zellweger Comeback Sequel, Big Role Or Star Cameo?

Along with Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran has quickly turned into the ultimate British crooner of recent times, and for months it had been rumored that he'd be making an appearance in the widely expected Bridget Jones 2015 sequel - and after months of speculation, the "Thinking Out Loud" singer has finally confirmed the theories!

Earlier this year, before principal photography for the Bridget Jones 2015 sequel began, the crew and a Renée Zellweger double were spotted at a Sheeran concert, prompting speculation that at least there'd be scenes there, but thanks to the singer's Instagram account, it's now official he'llbe a bigger part of the movie.

According to Ecumenical News, Sheeran's Bridget Jones 2015 involved was confirmed earlier a few days back, when the famous ginger took to Instagram to post a picture with Zellweger.

"Spent the day being an actor in the new Bridget Jones movie. Loved it, you're gonna love it too," captioned the 24 year-old, saying the Bridget Jones 2015 set pic had been taken by Greg Williams.

The Daily Mail reports that Sheeran shot his Bridget Jones 2015 scenes on November 23 in London, where the film has been in production for the past few weeks.

Both Zellweger and fellow Oscar winner Colin Firth are back for the third installment of the franchise, entitled "Bridget Jones' Baby," 11 years after the last one, "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reasons" hit theaters in 2004; however, fellow star from the first two movies, Hugh Grant, will not be returning for the threequel, with "Grey's Anatomy" actor Patrick Dempsey having been hired to play a similar role in the cast instead.

The new film will follow the beloved title character as she deals with being a single pregnant woman, after longtime love Mark Darcy has found a new love.

According to Business-Standard, the Bridget Jones 2015 film will be out next year, scheduled for a September 16 release date.
