Unseen Pictures of The New Batmobile Leaked

The new version of fiction's favorite car has been revealed: the first full pictures of the 'Batman v Superman: The Dawn of Justice' Batmobile were leaked this Wednesday. The images have been released by an MLive.com reader, who sent the website an e-mail with the photographs of Batman's ride parked near the Metro Detroit suburb of River Rouge, where filming is currently taking place.

These are the first photos of the full car. Director Zack Snyder posted a picture on his Twitter account last May, which featured Ben Affleck in full Batman attire next to the superhero's famous car; however, this was only a side view and it didn't show the entirety of the vehicle.

The pictures, which were taken at night and seemingly with a phone camera, show the Batmobile parked outside a building like any other car on the street. Featured are different angles of the vehicle, even an aerial one, as well as a shot of the car partially covered by a sheet. These show the car's design as a combination of the classic models with a heavy Steampunk component, completely lacking in curves.

The new film, which will be released in 2016 and will feature some of DC Comics' most popular characters -such as Wonder Woman, played by Gal Gadot; and Aquaman, played by Jason Momoa -, is the sequel to 'Man of Steel', a reboot of the Superman franchise that was released eight years after the critical and theater flop of 'Superman Returns' in 2006.

The new 'Batman vs. Superman' project is part of a DC initiative to catch up with Marvel, who has built a strong franchise with the 'Avengers' universe since the release of 'Iron Man' in 2008, even expanding it to the broader Marvel universe after this summer's hit 'Guardians of the Galaxy'.
