Sony Confirms the Ultimate Play Station Throwback: PS2 Games ‘Playable’ In PS4

After months of speculation and anticipation, Sony has finally announced the newest innovation in their Play Station technology-games emulation. A week ago, representatives from the giant gaming company said in a statement that they are "working on utilizing PS2 emulation technology to bring PS2 games forward to the current generation," This could only mean that those classic and retro games we once played on the ~ancient~ Play Staytion 2 is now compatible with the more realistic and advanced interface of Play Station 4.

Sony asked their loyal gamers via Twitter: "So what ps2 games would you like to see on your ps4?" From the thousands of responses, The Guardian gathered some of the most requested video game comeback. Just a little warning though, you might get a little bit nostalgic reading this.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Of course, this one could not be missed on this list. Everybody- boys and girls, played this game to unleash their inner badass. "Vice City, with its extravagant, brutal and sleazy combination of Scarface and Miami Vice, is the one every fan of the GTA series should study over and over again."

Silent Hill 2

"A hero wracked with psychosexual guilt, a town filled with murderous mannequins and an antagonist that looks like he's just walked out of the darkest fetish party ever held, Silent Hill 2 is one giant mental breakdown." Who didn't feel psychotic while playing this game? But did that funny alternate ending compensate all the creeps it got you?

Pro Evolution Soccer 4

Long before we played sports thru Xbox and Wii, there was Pro Evolution Soccer 4. Pressing the correct buttons-left and right hands used- while thinking of strategies to win was a lot harder and challenging many years ago.

Simpsons: Hit & Run

What's the best way to make GTA even more enjoyable? Create a Simpsons parody of course! The people behind the show were the same ones who produced the game-from the writers to the voice actors. "It's an open world adventure filled with ridiculous humour and daft missions, taking in everything from Kwik-E-Mart to the monorail."
