Pizza Hut New Zealand Debuts Marmite Stuffed Crust

Has anyone noticed that wild fast food inventions are at an all-time high?

From Cheeseburger Stuffed Crust to Crazy Cheesy Crust--when it comes to pizza, Pizza Hut takes the cake on crazy. Now the U.S.-based chain is testing out something even scarier than hot dogs and chicken nuggets embedded in pizza crusts.

According to Brand Eating, Pizza Hut New Zealand is stuffing the crust of its latest pizza with Marmite, a salty yeast spread made from yeast extract, known for its extremely unique and strong flavor. Marmite is popular in the United Kingdom and in New Zealand, and similar to Vegemite in Australia.

The Chee-Zee Marmite Stuffed Crust Pizza will have Marmite spread inside the crust, along with a layer of melted mozzarella cheese. The limited time offer is paired with their Cheese Extreme pizza which is a plain cheese pizza with three times the normal amount of mozzarella.

A large pizza will be sold for $8 NZ (about $6.78 US).

The Huffington Post reported that Pizza Hut is the highest grossing pizza chain in America. The chain has continuously been reinventing its pizza and finding new ways to remain modern, recently announcing plans to sell their famous pizza by the slice.

Pizza Hut currently sells personal pan pizzas that are 6 inches in diameter, but the slices being offered at the two locations will be cut from an 18-inch pie. The individual slices will cost $2 to $3 and will be made with newer recipes.

Would you try a slice of Chee-Zee Marmite Stuffed Crust Pizza?
