‘Toy Story 4’ Cast: Patricia Arquette Could Join Woody And Buzz Lightyear On 2018 Pixar Sequel!

Disney's Pixar is focusing quite a bit on bringing back some of everyone's favorite-ever characters from their early days, including sequels for "The Incredibles" and "Finding Nemo" planned in the next few years - but there are few movies that cause as much excitement as the return of Woody and Buzz to the big screen, and now there's a big new addition to the "Toy Story 4" cast!

Patricia Arquette, the most recent Best Supporting Actress winner at the Oscars, is apparently in talks to join the "Toy Story" cast ahead of the film's 2018 premiere, as the movie gears into production.

According to an exclusive story on The Wrap taking from the mouth of "an individual familiar with the animated sequel," Arquette is close to snagging a voice role in the "Toy Story 4" cast months after her big win on Academy Awards night.

AV Club reports that the role Arquette would be taking on the "Toy Story 4" cast is one of a "laid-back mom" that's being described as "a hippie," and she will be joining a few "Toy Story" vets in the process, including two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks as well as Tim Allen, both returning to their well-loved roles from the original 1995 film.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the film is still in the early stages of development, with actress and screenwriter Rashida Jones co-writing the screenplay with Will McCormack, with John Lasseter, the director of the first two movies and the current chief creative officer at Pixar, attached to direct the fourth installment.

For now, the IMDb page for the film describes a large, star-studded "Toy Story 4" cast also including Joan Cusack, Bonnie Hunt and Don Rickles, but there's no doubt that more and more big names will be joining in as the film approaches its 2018 release.
