If you have seen it then you would have not seen it. I mean, that Luke Skywalker isn't in any of the posters and trailers. Is he even in the movie? Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams says "Yes!"
Mark Hamill is definitely in the movie and Abrams confirms it. Mark Hamill who played Luke Skywalker in the original trilogy will have a role in The Force Awakens. So why hasn't anyone seen his face in the trailers and the posters? Fans are perplexed.
"No one forgot about him!" Abrams explained. "We were hoping people would care but there are a lot of things that are not on the poster. As busy as the poster is, certainly, Luke is a very important aspect of the story."
But people are asking the wrong questions. It's not where Luke is but who Luke is. Wait, what? I mean, who?
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy couldn't elaborate any further about this spicy movie content. What does the question mean? List down the things that are running through your mind right now - Like, did the battle scars and truth about knowing who Luke's real father is ruin his philosophy? Did he take a turn for the worst after knowing Leia is his sister? Who knows! They could all be true or untrue.
This is something Abrams is not willing to discuss with EW. Unfortunately, we all have to see the movie to find out.
So remember the last important event we have seen Luke in. That fateful part where he found out that Darth Vader is his father. What kind of force awakens or will be awakened inside of Luke? This upcoming film in December will reveal Luke's fate and his whereabouts. For now, we can only hope he has not fallen to the dark side.
