These are the Top 10 Word of the Year for 2015

Every year, U.K Collins dictionary releases a list of words that have been popular and has been generally accepted by the public. This is because of the fact that all over the world, language is incessantly evolving.

If anyone has been guilty of TV series marathon via Netflix all weekend long, they can easily identify to the word of the year.

And it's none other than:

Binge-watch - which means "to watch a large number of television programs (especially all the shows from one series) in succession."

That word topped the list and beat out other popular terms from this year such as dadbod, transgender and ghosting.

Here are the other nine words to complete our top 10 Collins Words of the Year list:

Number 2: Dadbod
"An untoned and slightly plump male physique, especially one considered attractive."

Number 3: Shaming
"The act or practice of attempting to embarrass a person or group by drawing attention to their perceived offense, especially on social media."

Number 4: Corbynomics
"The economic policies advocated by Jeremy Corbyn, leader of the UK Labour Party from 2015."

Number 5: Clean eating
"The practice of following a diet that contains only natural foods, and is low in sugar, salt, and fat."

Number 6: Ghosting
"The act or an instance of ending a romantic relationship by not responding to attempts to communicate by the other party."

Number 7: Swipe
"To move a finger across a touchscreen on an electronic device as a means of inputting a command."

Number 8: Contactless
"Referring to payment systems which use RFID technology and do not require the customer's signature or pin number."

Number 9: Manspreading
"The practice by a male passenger on public transport of sitting with his legs wide apart, so denying space to passengers beside him."

Number 10: Transgender
"Of or relating to a person whose gender identity does not fully correspond to the sex assigned to them at birth."
