What are the healthiest yogurt and its benefits? For most people who are not so much of a milk drinker, Yogurt is the best alternative. It is very well known that milk is the best supplier of calcium and without milk; bones including the teeth and nails would be very weak. No one wants to have a problem with broken teeth and broken nails.

For those who don't like milk, yogurt can be a very tasty and easy to find replacement for the bones to get filled with the needed calcium to be strenghten it. Yogurt is not just a source of calcium but it also has protein which is good probiotics. It is a common missconception that yogurt is just sourced out from cow's milk. On the contrary, there are tons of yogurts made with milk alternatives like soy milk, rice milk, almonds, coconut milk and so much more. 

Coconut milk has doses of fiber and lesser sodium than typical low fat yogurt from cow's milk but coconut milk yogurt has less protein and fats than cow's milk yogurt. Among all of the alternative milk for yogurts, Soy milk has the least amount of calories and saturated fat. It also has the most amount of fiber compared to other milk alternatives. 

Just like cheese yogurt is a dairy product which goes through a series of processes to achieve the delicious sweet taste that everyone loves. Yogurt is composed of bacterial fermentation of such milk. Yogurt cultures are the bacteria used to produce lactic acid which gives the yogurt a smooth and creamy texture and characteristic.

There are a lot of alternatives can be used as milk for yogurt,  included in those alternatives are the milk from water buffalo, ewes, camels, mare, goats and yaks are also being used to make a delightful yogurt.
