Microsoft Announces Windows 10 Automatic Update, Is Tech Company Working On Halo 6?

Microsoft has unveiled some latest news which include the automatic Windows 10 upgrade.

Earlier this month, an incident where the latest Microsoft operating system automatically installed without the authorization of the user was reported. However, the said event did not happen by chance as the American multi-tech company stated that every Windows 7 and Windows 8 will be automatically upgraded to Windows 10.

This means that within the next few months, the update for Windows 10 will be categorized to a "Recommended update." A recommended update will imply that the upgrade process will automatically start on the user's device but will also depend on the Windows Update settings.  The customer will then be prompted to choose whether to continue the process or not. The owners will be given 31 days to undo the OS to its former Window's version.

In a blog, Terry Myerson elaborated more the process of the automatic upgrade.

"In an effort to streamline the process, we will automatically kick off the upgrade process once you have made a reservation. Before the upgrade changes the OS of your device, you will be clearly prompted to choose whether or not to continue," wrote by the Windows and Devices Group executive vice president.

"And of course, if you choose to upgrade, then you will have 31 days to roll back to your previous Windows version if you don't love it," added by the vice president.

On a different news, it was reported that the growth of Windows 10 have decreased in the month of October. According to NetMarketshare, the overall Windows 10 growth slowed down by about 0.1 point between August to September and September to October.

"Microsoft Monday" also unveiled other important news such as Xbox One backwards compatibility, the Halo 6 rumor and many more.
