‘11/22/63’ Hulu: Stephen King’s James Franco Miniseries Gets February Release Date – Time Traveling On Hulu!

After weeks of anticipation from fans of horror author Stephen King as well as science fiction ones, it has been announced that the latest big adaptation of one of the writer's works, the "11/22/63" Hulu miniseries, has a scheduled release date - and it won't be screened all at once like it often happens with online streaming shows.

The upcoming "11/22/63" Hulu adaptation has an impressive cast that includes James Franco in the lead role as Jake Epping as well as Oscar-winning actor Chris Cooper and Josh Duhamel, in a story that recounts how a man travels back in time to the day of John F. Kennedy's assassination to stop Lee Harvey Oswald.

According to io9, the first episode of the nine-part "11/22/63" Hulu adaptation will be released on the website on President's Day, February 15, and it will be a weekly event from then on, adapting King's novel.

"Hulu Original series 11.22.63 is a thriller in which high school history teacher Jake Epping (James Franco) travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy - but his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, falling in love and the past itself, which doesn't want to be changed," reads the "11/22/63" Hulu synopsis, according to website The Mary Sue.

As Variety reports, the "11/22/63" Hulu series will follow the same model the website has released with its past shows (none of which has been released as a full season, unlike the binge-watching format similar sites have adopted), as it moves more aggressively against prime competitors Netflix and Amazon Studios.

Hulu subscribers will be able to watch the show with the $7.99 monthly plan (which includes ads) or $11.99 for the option free of commercial breaks.

Hulu also released the first few photos of the King adaptation, which you can browse here.

Let the countdown for the "11/22/63" Hulu adaptation begin!
