Billy Bob Thornton was taken to a hospital in Los Angeles after a car accident on October 30.
The 60-year-old actor was the passenger in the car that collided with another vehicle at approximately 6:45am in the West Hollywood area, according to TMZ.
After the crash occurred, Billy Bob Thornton complained of a head injury, according to the site. He was rushed by ambulance to be checked out in the emergency room at the revered Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Hollywood.
There are no details at this point on what caused the accident, or what the magnitude of the crash was. After being evaluated at the hospital, Billy Bob Thornton was deemed healthy and able to leave. He was well enough that he returned to the set of the project he’s currently shooting in Los Angeles that same day.
On Monday, Billy Bob Thornton was in good spirits as he joined Sandra Bullock and George Clooney at the Los Angeles premiere of Our Brand Is Crisis.
Thornton attended with his wife of one year, make-up artist Connie Angland.
The actor was dressed casually hip in belted jeans and black tank shirt along with artsy boots.
In the comedy-drama - which opened in US theaters on Friday, the same day as his car accident - Thornton plays adversary to Bullock's frazzled campaign manager.
Billy Bob Thornton has two projects in the works, David E. Kelley's new legal drama, Trial, for Amazon, and Bad Santa 2, which starts shooting early next year, according to Variety.
The Trial will mark the streaming service’s first-ever straight-to-series order, as the site usually allows audiences to view pilots and provide feedback on which should be picked up.
Thornton’s role was previously offered to Kevin Costner, who passed on the part, after engaging in talks. The series would have been Costner’s first series regular role.
