The Australian pop punk band that was formed in 2011 - 5 Seconds of Summer, earns their second straight No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, as the group's new Sounds Good Feels Good album debuts at the top of the tally.
5 Seconds of Summer's album was launched on October 23 through the record label created by Hi Or Hey and the American record label - Capitol Records.
Reportedly, it progressed to about 192,000 total album units in the week ending of October 29, where the 179,000 were in pure album sales.
The Billboard 200 chart picks up the most famous albums of the week, as it's based on a multi-metric consumption - including track equivalent albums (TEA), traditional album sales and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The current November 14-dated chart, where the group is listed at the No. 1 spot will be published in full to the websites of Billboard on Tuesday, November 3.
The group, 5 Seconds of Summer, that was originally a YouTube celebrity, is the only band to witness its first two full-length studio albums debut at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. The Sounds Good Feels Good studio album, is the follow up of the band's self-titled album, which arrived at No. 1 in 2014 with a healthy 259,000 sales in its first week.
Before that, the 5 Seconds of Summer distributed the introductory EP - She Looks So Perfect, and the song debuted and peaked at the No. 2 spot.
5 Seconds of Summer recent album was led by the song "She's Kinda Hot," which became the group's highest-charting track so far on the Pop Songs airplay chart, with the single peaking up at No. 15.
In addition, the American singer and actress - Carrie Underwood, picked up the second place with her new album entitled Storyteller. Out of the 177,000 album units, 164,000 in pure album sales. And it is Carrie Underwood's fifth studio album.
