Respawn Entertainment, the developer of 'Titanfall', has partnered with Nexon to bring the first-person shooter game on mobile. iOs and Android users will be able to play the video game on their devices in 2016.
The chief executive officer of Nexon Owen Mahoney stated in an interview with GamesBeat that they are now making strategic investments together with Respawn which is also the creator of the hit game Call of Duty.
Nexon is known as a leading worldwide publisher of free-to-play online and mobile games. With the company's expertise, creating great Titanfall mobile games is not impossible. This new move will surely expand the influence of the said video game everywhere. Titanfall would also be able to reach global audiences.
"As a player and fan of Titanfall I am delighted to be working with the talented team at Respawn to bring the world of Titanfall to mobile and tablet," Mahoney stated.
"Working closely with our partners at Respawn and Particle City we intend to build on the original game's success and introduce millions of mobile gamers to the rich Titanfall universe." The President and CEO of Nexon added.
The partnering companies have not yet revealed the details of their project. But the chief executive of Respawn Vince Zampella stated that he is expecting much from the partnership. Since Nexon is part of the said project, there is a great chance that the mobile games will be free with in-app payments.
Gaming enthusiasts can expect several new and original tablet and smartphone games that is based on the sci-fi video game Titanfall.
Meanwhile, Respawn has confirmed that they are also working on a sequel of the said shooting video game. The next installment will no longer be exclusive for Windows and Xbox One. As what Zampella stated earlier in March, the game will be a multiplatform.
