‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' Update: Batsuit Largely CGI; Most Expensive Movie Ever?

It has been confirmed that the Batsuit to be used in the production of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will largely be done in computer-generated imagery (CGI).

According to Batman News, Ben Affleck's armored Batsuit during most of his fights with Superman in the much-awaited 2016 film will be made up of CGI.

Apparently, Affleck has a hard to moving around in the actual bulky Batsuit that the filmmakers decided to use CGI to create the Batsuit during fight scenes in order for the 43-year-old to maintain his agility, according to The Inquisitr.

Total Film cites, as reported by Latino Review, that the Batsuit will be composed of entirely of CGI during action and combat scenes. Using a method called "visual effects pajamas," the batsuit becomes "a little more humiliating to wear," Affleck said. However, he added that it does make the work of the visual effects team easier.

"You can move freely, and they can put [the suit] on digitally ... It's a little more humiliating to wear, but it's easier for the digital effects guys. You can see who the priority is," said Affleck.

CGI has been used to create suits for characters in other movies, such as General Zod in "Man of Steel" and Ryan Reynolds in "Green Lantern."

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is set to appear in theaters March 25, 2016.

The Inquisitr reports that it is now set to become one of the most expensive films ever made in history.

The superhero film will be closely surpassing the budget for "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides." "Batman v Superman's" current budget is now $410 million, and growing, while Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean" cost some $410.6 million, according to Latino Review.

The main reason? Actors' salaries.

Cinema Blend reports that the studio has forked out big chunks from the production budget to the actors, some of which include Henry Cavill as Superman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.
