‘Wicked City’ Premiere Recap: Watch ‘Ed Westwick’ Get Angry When His Needs Are Ignored

Ed Westwick is finally back on the small screen when the new series "Wicked City" premiered yesterday.

Us Weekly shared that he will be portraying the role of Kent, a cold-blooded murderer who likes to dabble in necrophilia. He is the newest serial killer to hit the Sunset Strip while proving to be just as captivating as ever!

Kent has developed a certain routine when it comes to targeting his female victims, just like most serial killers. As a matter of fact, it involves establishing a false identity that his prey will inevitably be drawn to.

"Enter Karen McClaren (Taissa Farmiga), a struggling journalist who immediately fell for Kent's charms when he claimed to have contacts in the music business. All he needed was her phone number to set up a meeting," the news outlet shared of the debut episode. "But luckily for her, Karen was not the intended target of the evening. (At least not this time.) That grim privilege belonged solely to his date, Emily (Andriana Manfredi), whom he decided to drive off with for a little alone time."

However, there was one piece of his routine that had to come to fruition first before he could slice and dice. While she was busy attending to "his need," a song dedication that he made out to her came on over the radio. Then, it was stab city for poor Emily as soon as those lyrics to Foreigner's "Feels Like the First Time."

One redeeming quality Kent did have is his love of children. In actual fact, he opted not to only let Betty Beaumont (Erika Christensen), who was a mother of two, live but to continue dating her upon learning that she's his latest target.

"But when you're only used to being intimate with corpses, dealing with real-life human beings can present a bit of a challenge. So to help ease the transition, Kent decided to tie Betty up and basically have her play dead while he got down to business," HollywoodLife.com shared. "But the craziest part of this wasn't just the scenario itself -- it was how much Betty enjoyed this deranged version of role playing. Looks like this lady has a dark side that perhaps even she wasn't fully aware of... until now." Know more about the premiere episode of "Wicked City" here.
