Adele’s ‘Hello’ Just Broke Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’ Video Record In 24 Hours, Songstresses Battle! [VIDEO]

After a four-year absence from making a new album after the release of "21," Adele has officially launched the first single of her new production, "25," and Adele's "Hello" has seen everyone losing their minds over the diva's grand return - so much so that she already broke a record Taylor Swift set a few months back.

Swift's "Bad Blood" was perhaps the most anticipated single from her album, reportedly stemming from an ongoing feud with fellow pop star Katy Perry, but that's not nearly enough when compared to the rage of fans who had been waiting four years for a new album by the "Set Fire to the Rain" songstress, and Adele's "Hello" broke Swift's record in just one day!

According to The Guardian, Adele's "Hello" got 27.7 million views on the first 24 hours it was online, breaking Swift's Vevo record of 20.1 million views for "Bad Blood," which Swift had advertised through social media for days ahead of its official release.

As Fortune reports, Adele's "Hello" is her first clip since 2011, and it's quite an omen of what's to come for her album "25," due out on November 20, which she has called a "make up album" that will see her getting away from her usual breakup songs to find a new core in her 3 year-old son and her relationship with longtime partner Simon Konecki.

Adele's "Hello" has gotten 71 million views since it was first posted online last Friday, but she still has a long way to go before taking down Swift's clip completely, as "Bad Blood" currently has 598 million views since its release earlier in the year.

According to MTV, this isn't the first time Adele takes a honor away from Swift, as back in 2013 the two stars were nominated for a Best Original Motion Picture Song Golden Globe, Swift for "Hunger Games" and Adele for James Bond's "Skyfall," and it was the British star who ended up snagging the award.
