'Jersey Shore' star, Vinny Guadagnino, Celebrates Thanksgiving with His Family and The Daily News

"Jersey Shore" star, Vinny Guadagnino and his family hosted a pre-Thanksgiving dinner in their Staten Island home with special guest the New York Daily News.

"It's an insane, insane amount of food," the reality star said. "Thanksgiving is a big showcase for my family to have everything we like."

Vinny's mother, Paola, and aunt, Mariann Tornabene, prepared a pre-Thanksgiving tasting menu, which included roast chicken, stuffing, pasta with meat sauce, stuffed mushrooms, broiled cod, grilled eggplant with capers, potatoes, antipasto, and green beans, according to the Daily News.

The 26-year-old's mother reportedly made extra chicken breast because she worried there was not enough food to feed their 15 guests.

"This is what we call a Sunday," said Vinny's uncle, Tony D'Alessandro. "Thanksgiving is usually twice as big."

Vinny said his family always started Thanksgiving with antipasti. The reality star started his meal with a plate of Sicilian olives, sopressata salami and sharp caciocavallo cheese, his mother brought back with her from a recent trip to Italy.

The Daily News reported that as the family gathered to eat, Paola and Tornabene were consistently getting up to reload the table with food and refill glasses. After all the guest had eaten their meals, Paola brought out dessert, which included fruits, a chocolate mousse cake, homemade cookies and cannoli.

"We get together like this every weekend, since we all live within a five-block radius of each other," Vinny said. "Our Thanksgiving really is something special. You can't get food like this at any five-star restaurant."

Vinny said the reason why his MTV series "The Show With Vinny" takes place, mainly around his mother's kitchen table is because of the perks.

"Everyone loves her cooking," Vinny said. "I get all these celebrities to try her food because she's been hidden on this little island for too long. She needs to get out!"

The show, which premiered last spring, saw Vinny and his family interacting with celebrities over Paola's meals. Paola made broccoli rabe for Lil Wayne and cannolis for singer Ciara.

"My Aunt Mariann makes amazing rice balls: deep-fried, and they have cheese and meat sauce inside them," Vinny said. "It's the best thing you'll ever have. She makes stuffing, too from the box, baby! But you'll never taste boxed stuffing like this."

On actually Thanksgiving day, the family said they eat between dinner between 3 p.m. - 4 p.m. After eating the family watches football, takes a nap, then heads back for seconds.
