Rosie O'Donnell and ex-wife Michelle Rounds have finally reached a settlement with the terms of their divorce after nearly eight months of courtroom battle.

On Wednesday, both parties met at the Manhattan Supreme court and ended with the terms that they both agreed on. "There's peace in the Middle East," 53 year old O'Donnell confirmed to the reporters, as per Us Weekly. "It's done. We've settled. We're both very happy about the outcome."

Rounds also expressed her happiness about the settlement to the reporters, "We're happy with everything," she said.

Talking about the settlement, Rounds lawyer, William London, revealed to the reporters that both O'Donnell and Rounds will share "joint legal custody" of their adopted daughter, Dakota, who is now a year old. Further terms of the divorce settlement were not disclosed to the press.

The famous comedian filed for divorce from Rounds back in February after two years of marriage. However, according to the reports the estranged couple reportedly separated since Nov 2014.

This past few months have been very rough for O'Donnell. Back in September, Rounds allegedly attempted suicide. Then Rosie's estranged father died in August and her teenage daughter Chelsea abruptly left their family home.

After the teen was found she claimed that her mother kicked her out from their house and publicly labeled her "not genuine."

O'Donnell is also currently facing a legal dispute after a former 'View' producer sued her, claiming she was slandered by the comedian in front of the show and subsequently got fired.

"I spent every day this week in therapy in the midst of the bulls---. What has happened with my life?" she reportedly joked on Saturday during a standup show at Gotham Comedy Club in New York, as per New York Daily News.

"Five months ago I was a married woman and Donald Trump was a reality star. Now my world has blown up. He is the Republican front-runner, and the zombie apocalypse is upon us."
