TV Legend Bob Barker, Rushed to the Hospital After a Fall

Bob Barker, the former "Price is Right" host, was taken to a nearby hospital after a fall.

It was fortunate that the police officers in the area that saw what happened to Barker. The witness saw how Barker fell into the ground so they helped him straight away.

The TV legend was conscious and alert while in the ambulance going towards the hospital but he suffered an almost two inch laceration on the side of his forehead.

According to Officer Ricardo Hernandez of Los Angeles Police Department, Barker had stumbled and hit his head on a sidewalk near the star's Hollywood Hills home Tuesday morning.

'Bob was taking a walk at around 10:30 AM near his Hollywood Hills home when he tripped on the sidewalk,' reported the site. 

Police administered first aid and called for an ambulance.

The 91-year-old actor became very loyal on network television for decades. His versatility stunned in hosting everything from game shows followed by parades and beauty pageants.

For 35 years he led "The Price is Right" on CBS. He has also won 19 Daytime Emmy Awards after choosing to retire in 2007. The actor has been the host of the "Price is Right" starting from 1972 up to 2007.

He took a comeback in a special April Fool's Day appearance in his "Price and Right" show. Drew Carey was the current host of the show. He gently joined the first-price-guessing game of the show, the classic "Lucky Seven", and then gave hosting duties for Carey, who finished up.

From Washington, Barker moved to California in the 1950s to pursue his career in broadcasting. His first show was in the radio program ' The Bob Barker Show', ran for 6 years.

In 1956, he started his game show profession wherein he hosted Truth or Consequences. After that, he also started to host ivarious game shows and Miss Universe pageants.

In 1972, Barker joined "The Price is Right" show, and became happily married to Dorothy Jo Gideon starting from 1945 until her death in 1981.
