NBA League Rallies Around Lamar Odom

It has been three days since Lamar Odom was found unconscious in a brothel house in Nevada. The two-time NBA champ is still confined in Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas and his current health status remains to be in a blur.

According to reports from Basketball Insiders, he was said to have suffered brain damage and at at least one stroke coming from the incidents that happened over the weekend at the Nevada brothel.

In view of the fact that Odom is in a bad condition, the NBA community showed their support to Odom and his family during this lowest point of his life. NBA stars Dwyane Wade, Vince Carter, Allen Iverson, Jamal Crawford, Willie Green, Tony Allen and Pau Gasol among many others were very vocal to have offered their prayers for Odom's quick recovery.

A very emotional Gasol, recalled his moments with his friend and former team mate, as he told the reporters on Wednesday, "We had a very special bond, we played with each other a lot, we finished most games or all games together. We were versatile and unselfish, it was fun. It was really fun to play and we had an incredible respect for each other and we just played so well together and with that team - it's just difficult (to hear about his current condition). It really is. It's really hard."

Even Miami HEAT head coach Erik Spoelstra had something to say about Lamar's as a person, and as a passionate, unselfish basketball player. As Spoelstra told the Sun Sentinel, "Lamar's a beautiful person, It seems strange; it feels like he played for us for an entire career and it was only for a year. I think it's time for the entire NBA family to give back and give our thoughts and prayers, and kind of positive group-think to him right now. He's one of the most giving and sharing human beings that I've ever been around in my life. Any time any of us had ever been around him - I'm sure so many people have the same type of stories - you always feel better when you leave a conversation or an interaction with Lamar."
