Dad Supports Young Son's Wish to be Queen Elsa for Halloween

The season when kids all around the world are starting to choose their costume for the year's Halloween festivities is fast approaching. Recently, a dad from Virginia shared online a photo of his adorable son dressed as Queen Elsa  from Frozen, hailed him a hero.

Some people actually thought this dad was giving his child the freedom to be whoever he wants to be.

When Paul Henson, 28-year-old, took his son, Caiden, 3-year-old, shopping in early October, his son chose to be the person he respected and admired. So, he naturally chose Elsa, of course in the snap, posted on October 4 on Facebook, Caiden sticks his tongue out to the doubters while wearing the blue Frozen inspired ball gown.

Being a true fashionista, the adorable toddler also adds a pair of awesome green sneakers to complete his get up.

Alongside the pic, Paul wrote this, “Anyone that knows us, knows we generally let Caiden make his own choices, to an extent,” adding “Well, he has decided on a Halloween costume. He wants to be Elsa. He also wants me to be Anna. Game on.”

“Keep your masculine and slutty kids costumes, Halloween is about children pretending to be their favorite characters,” Paul continued. “Just so happens, this week he is a princess.

People are now wondering whether Paul indeed will live up to his end of the bargain and dress up as Anna and go trick or treat with his son Caiden.

“Parenting done right!” one Facebook user wrote. Another wrote, “Perfect tiny human.” So far, Paul's post has attracted more than 28,000 shares, as friends and family support his decision to let  Caiden dress up like a princess Halloween.

Paul also revealed that he wants to set the right example for Caiden.

The reason why Paul took on this attitude, he explained is that,  “As children get older, they distance themselves from their parents,” he said. “Why start that split sooner than they need to? It’s important for children to know that their parents will stand by them no matter what. Ashley and I will do whatever it takes to keep our son happy and not take his innocence and imagination from him.”
