Cara Delevingne revealed that she battled with depression during her school years but managed to turn her life around with the help of writing and yoga.
Speaking at the Women in the World conference, Delevingne said there was a time in her life that she felt completely "alone" and just wanted to commit suicide. She also confessed that she had a skin condition called "psoriasis." Cara said she didn't see herself as a normal person while battling with the condition, which made her "feel more disconnected from myself than I think I ever had."
However, she learned that she needed to do something to help herself and one of it was learning how to say no. She said, "I had no concept of saying no to anyone, ever. In life you should always experience things but you should say no. It's more about being in control and not being a puppet."
She continued, "I eventually said no and I eventually took a break. I took the advice of Kate Moss who picked me up off the floor passed out. I started writing - writing is something that really saved my life. I would read what I had written and it would be like someone else was speaking to me. It was a very strange experience."
Delevingne said after a year of writing, she also found yoga. It help her release all of her tension, anger and pain, which she hadn't done in yeas.
Another actress who made a courageous confession at the Women In The World conference was award-winning actress, Nicole Kidman. She said that divorcing Tom Cruise was one of the best things that happened for her career, because after the split she focused all of her time on her job. However, she admitted it was the loneliest moment of her entire life.
"I was running from my life at that time, I wasn't able to handle the reality of it and as an actor you have this wonderful thing where you can go and get lost in somebody else's life," she said.
