Angelina Jolie's Childhood Home In New York Is On Sale For $2 Million

Reportedly, Angelina Jolie's childhood home in Rockland County, New York hits the market for $2.049 million. It has been said that the 4-bedroom, 4,000 square foot house of the American actress and filmmaker, "sits on roughly 2 acres on the aptly named Woods Road in the rural enclave of Snedens Landing."

Richard Ellis, selling agent of Ellis Sotheby's International Realty, said that the house is owned by Jolie's mother, Marcheline Bertrand. And it was also the home of Angelina Jolie's father, the four Golden Globe Awards winner - Jon Voight.

The home of  the 40 year old  Angelina Jolie also housed Joe Piscopo in the American late-night live television sketch comedy and variety show - Saturday Night Live.

The home is described as "The Whitney" house from the official listing, where the home has been sympathetically refurbished in keeping with the circa-1959 construction date.

Angelina Jolie's home improvements included restoring the period railings in the second floor loft, new baths and new mechanicals. The home has a distinctive attribute of hardwood flooring throughout, as well as fireplaces and rustic features.

However, Angelina Jolie, who has been cited as one of Hollywood's highest-paid actress, grew up and lived at the house with her mother, the American actress and producer - Marcheline Bertrand. But, Jolie, who received an Academy Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards - is still struggling over the death of her mother in 2007.

A source stated that, "Angelina Jolie has never been able to accept her mother's death," and the source added, "There is a lot of strong feelings of annoyance over losing her mother at such a young age, just 56-years-old. Angelina Jolie's kids the 14 year old Maddox, Pax 11 years old, the 10 year old Zahara, Shiloh 9 year old, and Knox and Vivienne who are 7, never get to know their grandmother, and Angelina feels cheated."
