Microsoft To Add Cortana On Xbox One, Find Out The Release Date Below!

Microsoft has announced that the intelligent assistant Cortana, which is one of the features of operating system Windows 10, will make its way to the Xbox One in 2016. The integration of the personal virtual helper with Xbox's gaming console is one of the goals of the tech company for the upcoming year.

In a blog post, Larry Hryb - also known as Major Nelson - unveiled some significant information about the launching of Cortana to Xbox One.

"For those who have asked about Cortana, our plan is to add Cortana to the Xbox One experience preview later this year. From there, we'll ensure that the experience is tuned for gamers before we officially launch Cortana in 2016," as stated by the Xbox Director of Programming.

For those who remember, Cortana's first appearance was on the Windows Phone 8.1, followed by its introduction to the fresh Windows 10 Operating System. This time around, the tech company is planning to incorporate their virtual assistant to their gaming console, which is considered as the next logical step according to some tech enthusiasts.

Aside from that, Microsoft also unveiled that they will be releasing an update for their Xbox this coming November. The update called Xbox One Experience is said to bring a lot of significant changes in the game, even though the anticipated Cortana is not included.

User interface will be improved, performance will be adjusted and some new features will be offered. According to the American company, this is considered as the biggest update they will ever have for Xbox One.

Furthermore, Microsoft also released a latest Xbox Beta app for the Windows 10 OS. The latest patch will more likely improve the user's social communication with other players. Some features include the ability to directly reply to notifications, a new group text chat feature and the capacity to share the player's gameplay accomplishments to others in a much easier way.

The Beta app for Windows 10 is now available for download but the official release date has not yet been announced.
