Lisa Kudrow was not so excited about by the news of a "Friends" reunion after believing she wasn't invited to return for the classic sitcom's reboot.

The actress appeared on "Conan" this week and talked about the hoax, which got fans' hopes up thanks to a non-reliable website "confirming" the news, according to Yahoo TV.

"Okay, first of all. The graphic for this one thing was unbelievable," she told Conan O'Brien. "It looked really real. And then they were posting this article and the headline was like, 'NBC Confirms 5 out of 6 of the Friends Are In,' and I went, 'Oh my God. They didn't ask me.'"

According to E! Online, Kudrow's "Friends" co-star Jennifer Anniston told O'Brien that she also fell for the rumors, and was worried she had not been called to come back either.

"I think it created that anxiety of like, 'What if that did happen?' and they're all cooking up a show, like a Thanksgiving episode, which I always thought were my favorites, and 'What happened to Rachel?!'" she said on Conan's talk show.

According to United Press International, Kudrow ultimately said that she would "of course" reprise her Phoebe role if "Friends" was revived, although the prospect is still slim.

Kudrow told Conan she felt bad for all the "Friends" fans who still watch and follow the show even 10 years after it went off the air. According to UPI, the actress got some hostility when she said in an interview that a reunion was never going to happen.

"I honestly just feel really bad just by saying, 'And that was actually never something that was ever going to happen.' You're disappointing them," Kudrow said. "And people got mad at me recently because I had said, 'No, no. That's never going to happen.' They were angry, like I'm the one who shut it down."

"Friends" was listed by Time magazine as one of the Top 100 Television Shows, and it aired from 1994 to 2004.
