Seems like matchmaking is trending thing on the set of reality singing shows! Just recently, Adam Levine was reportedly teasing Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani on the set of The Voice.
Now this - Simon Cowell has been putting X Factor presenters, Caroline Flack and Olly Murs on the spot whenever possible, making things apparently awkward for the two. Reports from Mirror said that according to Xtra Factor presenter Melvin Odoom, Simon is playing cupid. As he told The Sun, "Simon wants Olly and Caroline to get together. He's always trying to make them admit they fancy each other and make things awkward for them."
Admittedly, the duo's on screen chemistry has been obvious. As Odoom continues, "They have this incredible chemistry. There's not a presenting duo around that has that kind of bond."
He also explains that the duo knows each other pretty well that they can almost finish each other's sentences. "They know what the other is thinking and they are always laughing and joking on set - but there is that kind of will-they won't-they tension which they've always acknowledged and played with."
Odoom even spilled the beans that the on screen duo is frequently called 'CarOlly' a mashup of their first names inspired none other than 'Brangelina'.
There have been reports that Caroline previously confessed her admiration to Olly the moment he tried out as a contestant on the show, but Murs preferred to keep things between him and Flack on professional level.
"When we first worked with each other, we were both single so it was kind of like we were flirting, having a lot of fun and then we realized this should never happen, if we want to work together we can't be doing this."
Could it be that Murs is still trying to move on from his heart break from his ex-love, Francesca Thomas, that he doesn't want Flack to just be a rebound?
