Actress Teri Hatcher jumped at a chance to play a character in the Disney movie "Planes".
"I think it's on everybody's bucket list to get to be a part of an animated voice in a Disney movie," the actress told "Good Morning America". "They've been a big part of my life."
Hatcher said she received a call asking if she wanted to be a part of the movie, but was surprised to find she was not going to be playing a plane. Instead, Hatcher voices the character of Dottie, a forklift. Dottie's character is a mechanic who takes care of the main character Dusty.
The main character Dusty Crophopper, played by Dane Cook, a humble dust cropper with big dreams of competing in and winning a famous aerial race. The only problem is, he suffers from a crippling fear of heights, which prevents him from flying.
"I play this smart, capable mechanic that fixes up his engine," she said. "I support him. I make his dreams come true."
Hatcher, who is mainly known as Susan Mayer from ABC's comedy drama series "Desperate Housewives," expressed how much she loved her "purple and cute" character on the ABC morning show and is excited to become a toy for Disney.
Other celebrities that give their voice to the Disney movie include Stacy Keach, Brad Garrett and comedian Cedric the Entertainer.
The movie is set to is theaters Aug. 9.
