Selena Gomez 'Me & The Rhythm': Singer Released Snippet of New Song [LISTEN + LYRICS]

Selena Gomez switches it up on “Me & The Rhythm” — the next countdown single from her fifth LP Revival. After releasing a pair of mid-tempo songs (“Good For You” and “Same Old Love”), the 23-year-old opts for an upbeat dance-pop anthem.

Over the weekend, Selena Gomez previewed her new song "Me & The Rhythm." The singer has been adamant in recent interviews that her new LP will show off her artistic and personal growth, and so far, she's putting her money where her mouth is.

"Me & The Rhythm" is a collaboration with up-and-coming Swedish production duo Mattman and Robin. The song is a disco-infused pop number that doesn't sound like anything else Gomez has ever recorded. . She's experimenting with different genres and, the new clip shows that she's using her voice in new ways.

"Me & The Rhythm" is an edgier twist on the electro-pop of 2013 LP Stars Dance and should find a lot of love among party jam-starved fans. Selena's new song is expected to hit iTunes on October 2 — a week before the arrival of Revival on October 9.

The album is shaping up to be something of a blockbuster. First, Gomez served up some sensual R&B-pop goodness with "Good For You." Then, she got a little alternative and angsty with "Same Old Love." Now, she's gone all '70s roller rink on everyone with "Me & The Rhythm"!

“Good For You” recently became the diva’s highest-charting single to date as it peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100 and “Same Old Love” already making a buzz on pop radio.

Lyrics:

When I move my body
I don’t have to talk about none
Let the chemicals do its stuff
Till the energy is too much

Yeah all I need
Is the rhythm, me and the rhythm
Nothing between
Yeah the rhythm
