Over the past few months, the consumer goods company founded by "Sin City" actress Jessica Alba has seen its fair share of bad press, after an action-class lawsuit was filed against them over their sunscreen supposedly not working properly over false advertisement - but even with this major difficulty, The Honest Company jobs are getting increasingly more enticing.
It's been three years since Alba co-founded her company and it's already surpassed the billion-dollar valuation, as the ethical consumerism-focused business does incredibly well in the market, and it's not bad on the inside either as The Honest Company's jobs benefits increase.
According to CNN Money, Alba recently announced better benefits for The Honest Company's jobs, as the actress and entrepreneur told a crowd at the Salesforce Dreamforce Conference in San Francisco that, starting on January 2016, employees who have recently become parents will now get 16 weeks of maternity leave - and this includes dads as well as moms.
"You need to take that time also to bond with your baby; it's also important for men to bond with their babies," said Alba, who has two children of her own, during he conference when announcing the new The Honest Company's jobs benefits, Bayareahq reports.
This new policy regarding The Honest Company's jobs benefits is a new trend on businesses; similarly, Microsoft offers 20 weeks of full pay to new moms, while Netflix employees who have recently become parents can take as much time as they need to take care of their newborn child during the baby's first year of life.
E! Online reports that eligible employees are entitled by law, under the Family and Medical Leave Act, to 12 weeks of unpaid leave, but many of them cannot afford to do so due to the financial strain this comes with this, even more so considering there's another mouth to feed.
Without a doubt, Jessica Alba's announcement on The Honest Company's jobs benefits will get a lot of people signing up for interviews now!
