Get a Taste of Uncharted 4 with Upcoming Beta

Fans who can't wait for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End to hit stores in 2016 will get to whet their appetites thanks to the upcoming multiplayer beta that's set to hit the Playstation 4 on December 4.

The announcement was made in the latest trailer for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, a remastered version of the series' first three games. It takes the beloved Playstation 3 trilogy and updates it to the PlayStation 4, featuring improved graphics and a resolution of 1080p while running at a silky smooth 60 frames-per-second. Other extras such as a photo mode have been added.

To get into the beta, you'll need to pre-order The Nathan Drake Collection. It will run from December 4 to December 13.

The highly anticipated game was originally penciled in for a 2015 release, but developer Naughty Dog made the tough decision to push the game back into March 2016 to ensure that it would be of the highest quality.

Back in March game directors Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley said:

'After spending so many years with Nathan Drake, he means a lot to the team, and telling the climactic chapter of his adventures is a task we don't take lightly - this game deserves every bit of the attention to detail, precise pacing, and nuanced storytelling Naughty Dog is known for.

So we've made the difficult choice of pushing the game's release date. Giving us a few extra months will make certain that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End not only meets the team's high standards but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title.'

Hopefully this beta will be enough to tide fans over until the full game releases next year.
