Tom Hiddleston has continuously proven that he is full of talent. In addition to being a remarkable actor, the 'Crimson Peak' star enjoys showing off his dance moves. But did you know he can also carry a tune?
The British actor took to Twitter to share a video clip from the upcoming Hank Williams biopic 'I Saw The Light.' The short clip actually features Tom Hiddleston playing the music legend as he records the song 'Move It On Over,' which became Williams' first hit single that launched his career.
The eternally modest Tom Hiddleston added the caption, "It gives me great pleasure to introduce the first clip from I SAW THE LIGHT. @TIFF_NET tomorrow! #MoveItOnOver."
Tom Hiddleston's Twitter followers immediately took notice, and started asking the important question: Does the actor sound anything like Hank Williams?
Hank Williams is known for his twangy style, which would be very difficult to replicate. However, Tom Hiddleston appears to have emulated the music icon without trying too hard to sound like him. As SlashFilm puts it, "The actor clips his 'N's rather than riding them out long and deep the way Williams did, but it's clear that Hiddleston found his own approach for the voice and the role."
Tom Hiddleston does his own singing in the film, and he also plays the guitar. The actor recently joined Rodney Crowell at the 2014 Wheatland Music Festival and performed the same song.
'I Saw The Light' also stars Elizabeth Olsen as Hank Williams' wife Audrey. Hiddleston and Olsen were previously rumored to be dating, although there were speculations that the actress was only using the 'Thor' star as a decoy to hide her relationship with Chris Evans. However, the couple was finally seen together in public, confirming the first rumors.
'I Saw The Light' is scheduled for release on November 27.
