A few months back, long-running show "Grey's Anatomy," the first of Shonda Rhimes' series starring strong and independent women, saw one of its most shocking character departures to date, as the husband of Ellen Pompeo's title character, Dr. Derek Shepherd (played by Patrick Dempsey 2015), got killed off suddenly.
After the shocking episode of his character's death, there were many rumors surrounding Patrick Dempsey in 2015, as the former 80s star was said to have been fired from the show by Rhimes herself after reportedly having an affair with a woman from the series' crew.
Now, months later, it's time for the first Patrick Dempsey 2015 big role since leaving his job of 11 years, and he's now officially part of the cast of the third installment of Renée Zellweger's "Bridget Jones" saga, after Hugh Grant apparently walked away from the project last year.
According to Deadline, Patrick Dempsey's 2015 sees the actor currently in the final stages of negotiations to join the cast of "Bridget Jones' Baby," co-starring Zellweger in the title role and Oscar winner Colin Firth as recurrent love interest Mark Darcy, as Bridget's now in her 40s.
As Vulture reports, there are very few (if any) details known regarding the threequel, but as Grant's character Daniel Cleaver will be notorious absent, many have speculated that Patrick Dempsey's 2015 role in the film could somehow fill in for him to complete the never-ending love triangle of Bridget's life - maybe as the father of her baby, as from the title it's pretty clear she's suddenly expecting?
According to Us Weekly, while the first two films of the "Bridget Jones" saga were based on the books of the same name by British author Helen Fielding, this isn't the case with the third part, as this movie will be based more on Fielding's articles.
Let's hope for an official announcement of this upcoming Patrick Dempsey 2015 project!
