The English musician best known as the voice behind heavy metal legendary band Iron Maiden has recently beaten the deadly disease, now the singer's speaking out about Bruce Dickinson's cancer, telling the world the same thing Oscar winner Michael Douglas said after going through cancer himself: that he got it from performing oral sex.

In one of the rocker's first appearances after beating Bruce Dickinson's cancer through chemo and radiation therapies after his malignant tongue tumor was diagnosed in the early stages, the "Trooper" singer opened up about what led to his illness to Opie Radio's Jim Norton in an attempt to raise awareness about risk factors.

According to People Magazine, the musician spoke about the two tumors that led to Bruce Dickinson's cancer treatment, both in the same area: a gall-size tumor found on his tongue and another in his lymph node on the right side of his neck, suggesting he may have gotten the illness from the Human Papillomavirus or HPV.

Loud Wire reports that the singer spoke at length about Bruce Dickinson's cancer, commenting that HPV was a major cause for it to occur in many men, particularly in those that aren't heavy drinkers or smokers, saying in those cases it's "almost inevitably" caused by the sexually transmitted disease - and that many didn't know much about the health risks behind this illness.

"And everybody makes the jokes about Michael Douglas, 'cause he was having oral sex, and it's just like, okay, we need to get over that one, guys, because this is kind of serious," said the rocker about Bruce Dickinson's cancer, according to Breitbart. "There's hundreds of thousands of people at risk for this. And guys should know, if you get a lump here, and you're over forty, don't just assume antibiotics will get rid of it. Go and properly get it checked out. It's important."

A few months back, Douglas apologized for his own comments, saying he had unwillingly embarrassed wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and her family over them - but Bruce Dickinsons's cancer talk supports the claims made by the "Ant-Man" actor.
