Following his success in The Voice season 7, Craig Boyd has something else to celebrate after recent reports claim that he's finally engaged to his fiancé, Wilhelmina model Taylor Borland.
The newly-engaged couple first met back in 2014 during a holiday party which was held just a day after Boyd won the finale of NBC's reality singing competition The Voice.
He said, "It was like a love at first sight. I remember first seeing her at the front door and just being taken back by how beautiful she was. I knew then that I had to get to know her."
Reports say that the 36-year old 'I'm Still Here' singer proposed to his soon to be wife on June 13, Saturday, at his tour bus after performing at Oak Ridge Boys Theatre situated in Branson, Missouri.
"It was the perfect way for him to propose because it was so unexpected," Borland said. "It was just us on the bus hanging out but will be a night I never forget."
On Tuesday, September 1, the model shared the good news on her Instagram page, where she posted a photo of her and Boyd in the pool. She captioned it, "#isaidyes to my best friend!!! @cwbyall Starting forever with you and I am so happy about it #engaged #inlove #soulmate"
Prior to the engagement announcement, Boyd revealed that he was headed to the studio to record tracks for his first ever album.
"Well, YALL, I waited until this morning to let you know, drumroll please... I am starting in the studio to record my newest album, today!" He wrote via Facebook. "It includes songs from great writers like Adam Craig, Anthony Smith, Arlie Albritton, Josh Helms, Trent Tomlinson and myself, Craig Wayne Boyd, to name a few!!"
He added, "Co-producing with my longtime friend and the GRAMMY's award winner Aaron Pearce!!!"
After announcing his new album, there have been no additional details about the project and Boyd is currently busy working on his tour schedules through November.
